Stay With Us
The Albion in Wimborne features ten well-appointed bedrooms, each designed with exquisite attention to detail, and reflecting the history of the inn in its decor based on three themes of Georgian England; Gentility (Jane Austen), Mercantilism (Charles Hall, our founder) and the Sea (Vice-Admiral Sir Thomas Masterman Hardy).
We have three tiers of bedrooms available to book:
A snug, cosy, ground floor bedroom, with some ingenious uses of space; creatively designed to transport you to Dorset’s maritime past to enjoy the hospitality of our most famous seafaring son – Admiral Sir Thomas Masterman Hardy (Nelson’s flag captain and captain of the Victory). The bathrooms in these bedrooms have showers only.
A lovely, traditional inn bedroom that conjures up a real sense of Georgian place and time. The rooms are designed to suggest the era’s themes of gentility and mercantilism.
A luxurious, large period bedroom with a deep bathtub that evokes all the pleasures of staying with a rich friend in their beautiful townhouse in the heart of a beautiful Georgian town. A real treat.
All our ten rooms are very different but share some common features:
- Tea and coffee making facilities
- Light reading
- Luxurious Sealy mattresses
- Free internet access
- Digital TV
- Bluetooth radio
As for contact with the outside world, phones haven’t been put in any rooms, so as to not disturb guests’ peaceful getaways but there is always a landline on reception, should the need arise.
